“Where there is no vision, the people perish.”

I’ve been thinking about that phrase… ruminating actually. Like a cow chewing its cud, my mind has been obsessively turning the thought over and over, slowly, letting it simmer somewhere in the back quadrant. The result is a little insight, however humble it may be, that seems highly applicable to our current circumstance.

Where there is no vision, the people perish.

Where? This word implies a geographic location, like a city, state, or nation. When a city, state, or nation has no unifying vision, everything falls apart.

No vision? This word in Hebrew is châzôn. It is mostly used in relation to prophecy, however the literal translation is “mental sight,” as in, to contemplate and perceive the possibilities of the future. Also, the word connotes a positive, pleasurable future state, something to look forward to, something worth fighting for.

Where there is no vision, the people perish?

Here “the people” refers to a tribe, a nation, a congregation.

It doesn’t necessarily mean that the individuals are all going to fall over dead, but that the tribal or national identity will perish without a common vision. Now think about our ongoing culture war. What does it mean to be an American? It means something vastly different today than it did 200 years ago—or even two generations ago. The truth is, there is no longer a national vision, no strong projection of the American Dream, and as a result, our nation is crumbling right before our eyes.

Obviously, that’s not by accident.

While the global elites are in lockstep, advancing their Common Agenda, the American public is getting jerked this way and that, and our focus, attention, and efforts are being shattered by a battering ram of propagandized social issues. While we fight against perverted curriculum, pornography in children’s books, men competing in women’s sports, and drag queens disturbing our children, the globalists are steadily advancing on every front, almost without notice.

People care about these issues, and they are right to fight back, but the energy being dumped into dealing with these ridiculous shenanigans is diverting attention from more important issues—such as stolen elections, political corruption, and utter lawlessness. Similarly, while some people care about the perversion of justice (actually, the complete destruction of justice); about the weaponization of government agencies that are being used to target political opposition (blatant tyranny); and the political persecution of Donald Trump (and the J6 prisoners); these folks are essentially just pissing in the wind and shaking their fists at the sky. Are they really fighting back? Are they really making a stand?

Or are they just really mad about the injustice of it all, and yet completely at a loss as to what to do about it? Do they really think they’re going to vote themselves out of this mess? Or is that just wishful thinking, because they don’t know what to do?

I believe that We The People lack a vision.
