Beginning at about 23 minutes into this video, Scott tells the story of how, during the Gulf War, he was an intelligence officer in the Marine Corps whose job it was to select targets to be bombed in Iraq.

Later, as a United Nations Weapons Inspector, he got to go into Iraq and examine what thousands of bombing sorties had accomplished.

There was a lot of destruction, of course, but not necessarily of of military targets. The United States killed a lot of civilians including Jordanian truck drivers and entire extended families of Bedouins along with their goats, but with those thousands of sorties did not take out a single SCUD missile launcher.

He expects Trumps bombing of Yemen to produce similar results: a lot of dead civilians and little else.
