The Reader should know that thoughts are as much a material thing as any material thing is, except it is a much more subtle expression. Around the physical body, there is an etheric body, which is called The Etheric Body. Now... that is not a coincidence. Of even more refined matter is The Astral Body, which exists in two separate categories, known as The Upper and Lower Astral Body. Again... this is not a coincidence. Of even finer matter is The Mental Body, and that also has levels. The highest of these is called The Causal Body.

There are variations on perspective that are held by different schools of thought. Some might say there are as few as 3 bodies, and some... as many as 12. They are both right. Some of them are simply dividing more. None of this is essential to today’s commentary. The important point to be made is that thoughts are things... so are emotions, and all of them... including everything from the physical body to The Soul or Atman, as the Hindus call it, is made out of the same substance... in finer or grosser expressions... through adaptation. They are all vibrating at a particular rate. Whether you want to call it wavelengths or vibrational states, or something else is up to you, as long as you understand it; that is the critical feature.
