Is Mexico next? How about Central American countries? Is this a sign of what will happen to the US?
Yes the people were stupid in electing socialists, but they were fed propaganda. They were used and deceived. An enemy did this, and the people are the victims. The only way to correct this problem is to replace corrupt politicians with good leaders that believe in good ethics.
This is a good example why the American system is better than socialism. A republic based on a fair constitution and leaders that represent the people is the best type of government. Our founding fathers realized that absolute power corrupts, and that man cannot be trusted with unchecked power. This is why our political system is set up with so many checks and balances, so politicians cannot deviate too far from what the people want. A corporate body of people - chosen by the people is the best way to govern. And those that are elected are replaced frequently to avoid corruption and abuse of power.
