I think some of the differences are more local, and Montreal, with its Francophone population adds another dimension to its very mixed population. I spent a fair amount of time with musicians back then, and was exposed to more unusual music at times. To some extent I think I tended to notice unusual music more than others. Even when I was quite young (back to the early 70's)I never forgot listening to As Liquid Acrobat Regards the Air (UK). I've been wanting to post this for a while, but couldn't decide on which track. Anyways - for a taste of their uniqueness ...
