It was a beautiful reflecting day
7 hours drive from one landscape to another
from the mountains to what some say flatlands
which are not flat at all
I can understand why Custer was defeated

It has been an interesting year
several elderly have passed away
and they lived loved filled lives
Auntie Mary 100 years

Auntie Helen 96 years
Auntie Rayona 91 years
Uncle Ralph 87
Uncle Dick 91

and I'm not sad
they taught me a lot
so on way home
I was thankful

It would appear that I have a lot of life left to live

so on that trip home
I decided to read the headlines
and I went back to read my choices
so I was everywhere
one sided stories are a bumber

one headline was about pampers

and they are about to laugh the "smart diaper"

on that 7 hour drive there was definitely laughter

mine was
"Are you going to micro-chip the diapers
raise the price
and have that chip connect to the baby monitor

In all my years of travelling highways

today we encountered a trucker
and I have the upmost respect for truckers
and he was weaving a bit
and had gone in and out a couple of times
slowing down and a bit worrisome
so it was safer for us to pass him
while passing him he was tending our way
and hubby honked the horn
which seemed to bring him out of where ever he was
I know there is a shortage of truckers
without them life would not be the same
