The primary reason I read RMN is to find links to useful alternative information. The article about the harmful effects of GMO and other hybridized modern wheat is one of them. When someone is trying to debunk such articles with sheer arrogance or invalid arguments, I always ask myself why nobody is defending it. But perhaps others are asking the same question.
Well, I usually prefer to read only articles that I consider to be useful, and just skip the rest. I also usually refrain from posting replies, because I am busy with other more important activities. But since I wish others to stand up for the good stuff, I also have to do the same at least now and then when time permits. OK let see what is wrong with the article about the wheat issue, if anything at all…
The title “Why 80 Percent of People Worldwide Will Soon Stop Eating Wheat…or Die” is indeed an exaggeration if we interpret “…Die” as “…become extinct”. I doubt that the wheat we eat today would cause the extinction of our species, or even lead to a significant reduction of the population. If this would be true then BigBrother would not need to spend billions on developing new diseases, and other depopulation tools.
Although, it is very much possible that Monsanto may develop a type of Franken GMO wheat that could really destroy our DNA to such a degree that it would lead to such population reduction. If you doubt that GMO grains can cause deadly diseases and sterility in 3 generations, then perform a due diligence research into the French experiment results testing GMO grain on mice. These scientific results caused the banning of GMO corn across Europe.
For the sake of credibility I would rather use a more conservative title like ”If we continue to consume large amounts of harmful wheat varieties, then our health will deteriorate and our lifespan will shorten”. And by the way the title of the original article at http://www.wakingtimes.com/2013/01/09/why-80-percent-of-people-worldwide-will-soon-stop-eating-wheat/
did not contain the “...or Die” exaggeration.
But aside from some overstatements, the information offered is solid and very valuable. If somebody wants to find more detailed information and facts about the subject, that represents the basis of the article then he should do his own due diligence research. I have collected few related articles and videos in the past and they present useful knowledge. There is indeed a justified concern about the modern wheat issue. This is not based on empty speculation but on research findings.
To address in few words the debunking attempt of Nemesis:

Is there any propaganda in the mass media that tells people not to eat wheat because it is harmful for health? I see the opposite propaganda. Will Monsanto or the Big Agribusiness profit if people stop eating wheat? Just the opposite. The control through food supply is realized by making people eat food that destroys their health, and minds, so that Big Pharma and health organizations may make big profits. The weakened mental abilities of people will render them easy to manipulate, which is the primary goal of the whole operation. GMO wheat is one of the weapons in their arsenal. You are distorting the truth.
The non-argument that if wheat would be harmful for health, then our ancestors would have all died out before conceiving us is a trivial nonsense. Nobody claimed that if one eats wheat he dies immediately and will not be able to have children. What is claimed is that the modern hybrid varieties of wheat we eat today are harmful for health. The slow and cumulative effect of this through a lifetime will lead to diseases and shortened lifespan. Sure the mass media lies and misinforms, therefore it is our job to find out what is true and what is false. This article about the wheat issue helps to obtain information that the mass media hides from us.
Regarding the excerpt that Nemesis posted from the link:

The reason for feeling better and losing weight when eliminating wheat is not that “…proteins fill you up”. The real reason is that wheat is an addictive substance. The chemical gliadin in the wheat acts like an opiate, it stimulates appetite and craving. Here is an article that explains it:
The more one consumes wheat products the stronger is the craving for more. This leads to overeating, potbelly, overweight and all its detrimental health consequences. Eliminate the addictive substance, your craving will subside and you will not need so much food. In China, India, and Japan the staple food as the source of carbohydrates is not wheat but rice. Rice does not contain gluten, gliadin, and other harmful substances that cause celiac disease, excessive craving, and addiction. Their population is also less prone to be overweight. That is a healthier alternative than wheat.
Those who debunk useful information are the ones who support disinformation.
