Imagine a ball of modeling clay about the size of a soccer ball, on a table.

Now let's imagine an iron ball, proportional to the size of the inner core in the image, at the core of our clay ball.

Imagine that in some mysterious way this explosive vaporization stays liquefied in the clay ball.

How long do you suppose it will take for the ball of clay to be baked into a brick too hot to touch without serious burns?

How long before water dropped onto the surface of the ball sizzles to steam like water dribbled into a hot frying pan?

Now let's imagine that our clay ball with it's iron core is the size of the Earth, and just think about it......
