It wouldn't be good, but in my phantasy world, everyone with firearms would shoot through the door the minute the break-ins started, or if they didn't; they'd have a gas can and some matches for a sudden house fire. You're gonna die anyway, so you might as well become the biggest liability you can be, and make sure you have nothing left worth taking after they take you, not that you'll survive whoever is trying to round you up. Or if they do take you, be as non-compliant as you can be, and make them kill you. After all, if they do take you away, what's there to live for?
