A quick note here -- while typing the last paragraph in this essay I had a power glitch, wiped out what I had written, but not the main body of the article . . . very, very strange timing, since the weather is fine, and there was NO reason for the glitch. And yes, I am somewhat of a "mystic" and I do believe in a greater reality. Some force does NOT want us to "think impure thoughts"!!

THE MINISTRY OF TRUTH STRIKES AGAIN – CITIZEN, YOU WILL THINK ONLY PURE THOUGHTS!

Ben Davidson, the creator and operator of the SuspiciousObservers web site (link below) has just been “shadow banned” by Facebook. He has already been permanently banned on Twitter, and there was a coordinated effort to get him thrown off of YouTube as well.

For those who don’t know who he is, or what SuspiciousObservers is all about, a brief introduction is in order. He has created a private site that challenges the more established viewpoint of academic science – primarily in the areas of astrophysics and the climate, as well as presenting an alternate view of solar physics. He is VERY polite and always gives solid data to support both his position on things and his criticism of opposing views. He produces a daily video (usually around 6 to 8 minutes long) covering the latest news in the area of interest, and from time to time produces longer more in-depth videos of the same subject mater. He has formed a group of like-minded people the world over (some of whom are WELL credentialed academics themselves) and they exchange ideas and research. In other words, he is simply a person with a free agenda expressing an alternate view of the universe and how it works.

So why then is he being attacked, and an attempt being made to shut him down? Beyond the obvious – he IS NOT PLAYING BY THEIR RULES – he is gaining a wider and wider audience, and having greater and greater impact on their little world of select “elite” scientists. This cannot be allowed don’t cha know! Only the “approved” version of “truth” is allowed – how dare you challenge it?

What I think is important here – for all of us – is not so much what this particular wet site is saying (he talks in VERY technical terms, and to a very select audience) but rather the larger implications of what is happening to him. In other words, we the people are not supposed to “think for ourselves” but rather we are to listen, accept, and believe what is “Proper” truth. It does not seem to mater if it is in politics, economics or even science we are not to “THINK IMPURE THOUGHTS”!
