I think the Refugee crisis we are experiencing in Europe is different to the immigrant crisis happening in America. Over here these people are fleeing for their lifes, men, women and children. They are dying, being used by smugglers and beaten up by police. Thousands have drowned in the sea. A few days ago 71 people were found suffocated in a lorry, parked by a motorway in Austria. Imagine being one of those 71 stuck in that lorry.
A distinction needs to be made between people who want to exploit a system, and those that are completely scared about the next few minutes, let alone anything long term. Here are some figures relating to that. The reason for the wars of course are manyfold, and we all know that Western powers do stir the pot in these countries. The poor people stuck in the middle deserve far more compassion than they are getting from Europe.
