The death of my 16-1/2 year old cat 3-1/2 years ago (Some days it feels like yesterday) DEVASTATED me. GRIEF IS GRIEF - no matter what the cause. My "ball in a box" still gets poked on his birthday and the day of his death. My grief has eased over time but will never go away entirely. (As I'm typing this I find myself tearing up.) THIS IS OK. As one person said in a TED talk: "We Don’t Move On from Grief, We Move Forward with It."
