The first rule of stockpiling food is to just start. The problem that most people have is that they start off and get overwhelmed immediately by all the questions. Some of the questions are legitimate, but the problem is that over analysis can lead to paralysis. Then you just freeze up and get nothing done. Some questions that plague people are:

How much food do I need?
Where do I buy it?
What type is the best?
Should I get Army MRE’s or freeze-dried survival food?
Where will I store it all?
What if I don’t like the taste?
Should I buy it online or at a store somewhere?
While all of these questions are just fine to ask, they can all be answered in due time. The main rule of food storage, however, is to get started right now. But doesn’t “just rushing into something” guarantee mistakes and waste? Normally, that is true.
