The Japanese government is slowly releasing the Fukushima wastewater into the Pacific Ocean, causing an outrage among the citizens of Japan and of the other countries in the Pacific for the harm it possibly brings. While the Japanese government claimed that the treated wastewater is safe, many experts have argued of the claim as there is the lack of water test results transparency. As someone from the Philippines, the news bothered me, so I asked if the dumped Fukushima water is harmful for the populace.
Considerations
The Ascendant and its ruler/s as the significator/s of the populace. The Moon and its ruler/s will also signify the populace. It is also noteworthy that the Moon is the natural significator of water.
Saturn and Pluto as the traditional and modern natural significators of wastes, poisoning, and death.
Judgment
Retrograde Saturn rising in the Ascendant is a hallmark of this chart because it tells a lot not only about the question but also of the judgment. The angularity of the retrograde Saturn in the watery Pisces, as the ruler of the Ascendant and that of the twelfth house, is an ominous testimony where it shows humankind poisoning its own well. The peregrine Sun in Virgo (i.e., as the almuten of the third house (Japan is after all the Philippines’ neighbor), as the natural significator of the government, and the separating opposition from Saturn) in the angular seventh house shows the disagreement between the general populace and the authority figures dumping the wastewater into the ocean.
News outlets relayed that the Japanese government released the “treated” wastewater into the Pacific ocean as it was a way cheaper option. We can see the cost-cutting measure, the potential lack of regard to the populace, and the lack of foresight to the long-term harm with the Sun’s essential condition in Virgo, where it only has a decan dignity and from the lack of reception between Saturn (the populace) and the Sun (the Japanese government); the Sun’s dispositor, which is Mercury, hates Saturn because it is in the sign of its detriment and fall. With the Sun as a luminary separating from Saturn, we can like it to a radioactive substance released in the water.
A supporting testimony of harm is from the antiscia of Saturn with the South Node in the ninth house and the contra-antiscia with the North Node in the third house where it shows not only a foreign (and a neighboring) country releasing the “treated” wastewater but also the harm it brings to the populace.
The testimony from the Moon is also ominous. In the chart, she is in the sign of her detriment in Capricorn and in the twelfth house. Saturn and Mars rule the Moon. Since I have already discussed the testimony from Saturn, our attention will be on Mars as the Moon’s exaltation ruler. Mars is in the sign of his detriment in Libra, in the unfortunate eighth house of death. Mars, debilitated in this humane sign and being in a hard house, suggests the likelihood of immense harm to the populace. The Moon in the twelfth house (it is the waste receptacle in modern astrology), separating from the accidental significator of death (i.e., the retrograde Mercury in Virgo), and applying to conjunct with Pluto (as the natural significator nuclear technology and death) with negative reception (Pluto harms the Moon as it is in the sign of her detriment) is a supporting testimony of the potential extreme dangers of the released treated wastewater.
