If we didn't have it, would we be more alike with each other, or more different? Provided we follow the 'DO YE NO HARM, DO AS YE WILL' law. Most comply with the hive mind way of doing things, despite the fact those ways are often inconvenient, and not very pragmatic due to the fact they don't want to stand out. People are not allowed to truly be themselves in so many societies. They don't rebel in the stupidest, self destructive ways some cultures do things. They value fitting in more than they value themselves.

Then there's joining The Holey Order of the Septum and MGTOW. At least some are waking up.
