Chicks generally marry 'up'. They promote vanity as a lure to hopefully catch a 'high earner'. In countries where they have few rights, and arranged marriages, an ideally high earner is generally sought for the chick, who is essentially 'for sale' for the sake of finances or family alliances, the Hell with what the chick wants.

There's a word for that, and I don't play. And many consider me nuts for supporting the 'pet' sausage casing, though my nose-poo is not longer my pet but a necessary contributor to the household finances because I only make half as much as I used to when I was at my high point.
