My view is, why should I inconvenience myself for a world I hate? I got sterilised at 19, am now 62. Thank the gods I did what I did. When I was betwixt 6 and 10 inclusive, I was forced to watch (2 & 3, I think, when I was 6.) my toddler siblings. I spent 90% of my time wanting to do a Hansel and Gretel on 'em and cook the infernal thangs, not to mention when I found out where babies really come from and what it entails, no way in HELL!. Say good- bye to your time, your discretionary income for most people if you even have enough to live without going into debt after, enough sleep, more stress, and the list goes on. Seems like more and more people are meshing with my perspective.

Breeding does nothing pragmatic for the individual unless you're Amish or something to that effect, but everything for society and the governments. More consumers, more tax payers, and more cannon fodder. More tithers too, for those who play that game.

If you like a life where you can choose most of your obligations instead of being legally stuck with them, this is the way to go. My only 'legal' obligations are bills (which are minimal) and taxes (which are also kinda low, since I only work as hard as I absolutely HAVE to, to maintain a decent standard of living; and due to circumstances and being minimalists we're doing damn good on our combined poverty level incomes.)
