Too bad few are in the position I'm in. I can cost this stupid state a gazillion (I exaggerate slightly) times more than I pay in taxes. I'm subsidised by circumstances.

Rent is cheap, I pay about 51% of it, and a lot of things are covered. I can get by comfortably on making poverty level wages, so I do; though I have the option of working full time. (My restaurant lets us work the hours we want. Most are heavy materialists, so they go for absolutely insane hours, but hey. I used to do that.) I don't. So I end up paying a couple hundred a year in taxes, and I'm costing them over $12,000 a year in my Kaiser subsidy which is 100% covered. Sales tax? Maybe 10 bucks a week average. Car registration? Car is over 30 years old. As little as possible. Nice to have one of the best mechanics on the planet as your buddy.

I think allopathic medicine is worse than worthless. Kaiser? I can kill myself without their help if I want, though the Cosmos wouldn't approve of that; so I'll stay until my contract is up and be the biggest bastitch I can be until it is.

Not many can follow suit, but I think it would be hilarious if more could make these unconstitutional laws backfire in the face of the state. Gods, how I hate this place due to its commie politics and brainless installed politicians. I fight it every way I can. . .mostly by supporting it as little as possible in every way possible.
