There are 19 chemicals in McDonald's French Fries, but the snake daddy of them all is Acrylamide. I have long believed that the people who run the processed foods industry, also have heavy investments in the medical industry, which is directly aligned with the pharmaceutical industry. It's a cradle-to-grave abuse of humanity. The cradle is now a Petri Dish and the grave is a certainty... much longed for... after these monsters have been at us.
I... like some others of my ilk (grin), were most fortunate to have encountered certain wisdom(s) earlier in life, and which were deeply imprinted on me by the use of psychedelics. If it had happened at any other time, I might be in a better agreement with those who say such chemicals are a hindrance on the spiritual path. I often referred to my use of psychedelics as 'blowing the carbon out of my jets.' Psychedelics lifted me... in thought... above the noise of material culture. I could... if only for a limited time... look out upon much vaster and more serene horizons... within me and outside of me... than those who did not get... or seek out the opportunity... to engage in them. I needed to see what was really going on. It didn't happen overnight.
