It is similar to bonhomie concealing a power move... when someone grabs your elbow when they shake your hand. I'm talking about the subtle moves in life that have a great deal to do with the appearance of control.

Everything in life these days is about perception. That is because media is ubiquitous, and what isn't coming at you through the usual mediums is coming at you in invisible waves. I'm saying... I seem to be always saying... what you see is not what you get, and there are all kinds of caveat emptor.

Life is a circling series of stages that get smaller... as they retreat into the distance of secondary markets. The Comedy Club in Boise does not have the same cachet as the one in New York or LA. Still... it is more upscale than the one in Pago Pago; if Pago Pago has a comedy club. I actually just went and checked. I couldn't find one. I did find a Yacht Club.
