Did this song ever exist, or was it SHAZAMMED, like Sinbad's SHAZAM?

George Eaton has been writing about Sinbad's SHAZAM, insisting that the movie was real but has been made to disappear. Well, if disappeared, they did a very good job of it because after he said there must be thousands of VHS videos around, I searched Amazon and eBay and found nothing, not even a real movie poster. I also checked IMDb, the Internet Movie Database and it wasn't listed there, either, but only a few little things about the alleged movie, one of which said that what George had posted as a review was an April Fools' joke that Sinbad, himself, helped create. And I must say that the kids acting in that clip were so bad that it couldn't have been from a real movie. ;)

But what about this song, played on our local Top 40 radio station, WTLB, 1310 AM... where did it go?

The song, "How Do I Get An Even Tan?" was a humorous song from the early 1960's, that apparently never existed if you've ever tried to find it, though my brother and I both remember hearing it played... and after more than 60 years, I still remember a lot of the words.

I have searched YouTube a number of times and while I can generally find whatever piece of music I want to hear on YouTube, it has never turned up, only videos giving tanning tips. I have also had a saved search for "How Do I Get An Even Tan?" on eBay for years, and not one copy, presumably a 45 RPM vinyl record, since that is how pop music was sold in those days, has ever turned up. Entering lines from the lyrics in a search engine, namely Duck Duck Go, has always turned up nothing, though entering such lines can often bring up a page with the lyrics to an entire song.

As best I can remember, I was 15 when "How Do I Get An Even Tan?" hit the airwaves of WTLB during the summer of 1962. It only played that one summer, but after 60+ years I still remember a good part of it, it had some pretty clever lines.

To whit:

[Lead male singer]

"All the radio and the television stations
Had their mikes and cameras at the United Nations
Where my girl had the gall

To ask them all...
How do I get an even tan?

[Can't remember what came next, if anything, then...]

First you lay down on the sand
No I think you better stand
Close your eyes and count the waves
Subtract the ultraviolet rays
Add the humidity in Saint Lou
And when it comes to 32
Your done!

[Female chorus]

You know you know you know
The zebra has its stripes
And yet it never bites
The leopard has its spots
And thinks their polka dots

[Lead male singer]

So cover yourself from head to toe
In a tee-nee bikini then you go
And bake in the shade of the sun!"

So is there anyone else out there that remembers this song?. I know that I heard it played many times, way back then, and it's NOT a Mandela Effect thing.
