One Inch Of God and Other Random Thoughts
Happy New Year! Greetings and salutations from The Common Man. It’s been a spell since I’ve written a blog. The main reason I haven’t posted anything is that back in October I underwent surgery to fix some issues I was having on my left hand. The surgery, along with holidays, birthdays and anniversaries put writing on a temporary back-burner. Anyway, “I’M BAAAACK!”
Some Random thoughts have been floating around my head these last few months, and I’ll start with this first. In his disappointing movie about pro football, “On Any Given Sunday,” Oliver Stone cast Al Pacino as the head coach of a fictional team called the “Miami Sharks.” Pacino delivers a locker room pep talk where he says “Life, like football is a game of inches, and this team fights for those inches!” What brought that particular quote to mind is the fact one inch spared the world from an assassin’s bullet. A bullet that undoubtedly would have sent the world into complete and total chaos. I’ve heard some people say it was dumb luck when Trump turned his head at the precise moment to dodge the shot. It wasn’t luck, it was God. God gave us that inch that so many of us have praying for.
In the aftermath of November’s election there has been a lot of talk about why Harris lost. How could a campaign spend over a billion dollars and still lose. All the leftists talking heads are blaming everything under the sun for her poor performance, making excuses, or just outright lying (as per usual). The one thing they never mention is that maybe God had something to do with it. That, of course would ruin their narrative, because according to leftist theology they are gods, they control what’s right and what’s wrong, only their view is true, and if you disagree you are committing heresy. On election night, I purposely avoided any news updates. I had a very bad feeling throughout the day that despite all the evidence of a massive Trump win, somehow just like 2020, I would wake up with Komrade Kamala as President elect. That night I prayed and it truly felt like I was joining with a multitude of believers from around the world praying to God to save us from the catastrophe of a Harris presidency. Finally at 2 in the morning I checked the results. After which I praised God for his providence. God has given humanity a chance to fix the myriad problems facing the whole world.
There are a lot of factors that contributed to the colossal failure of the Harris campaign. First and foremost was the candidate herself. It reminds me of the old story about a dog food company that came out with a high grade, superior dog food. The company spent millions developing and advertising it, only to post abysmal sales. The company execs held a conference to see why it wasn’t selling, and all kinds of excuses were floated out, bad ad placement, bad market targeting, etc. Finally, one junior exec raises his hand and says “maybe the dogs just don’t like it.” That’s Kamala Harris in a nutshell, us “dogs” just don’t like her, and for good reason, she is a thoroughly unlikeable person.
Tyrus from the Gutfeld show made an interesting observation when he was asked why Harris lost, he said two words “Bud Lite.” I realize that sounds a bit far-fetched, but it actually makes perfect sense. The Bud Lite story illustrates a couple of important points about today’s society. First, it highlighted the contempt and ignorance woke corporate executives have and continue to exhibit towards the average American. The marketing genius at Anheuser-Bush said she wanted to market their product to someone other than “frat-boys, ” oblivious to the fact that by doing so, she was pissing off the vast majority of their marketplace. Secondly and most importantly, the public’s reaction to their ad showed the average American that they actually can have an impact on the woke corporate culture. Despite all the virtue signaling rhetoric being spewed by the left, the bottom line still matters, and Anheuser-Bush, to the delight of millions of beer drinkers, lost billions of dollars. From that moment forward, it was game-on for anti-woke activists like Robby Starbuck who forced companies like Harley-Davidson and Tractor Supply to abandon their D.E.I. and woke programs in the face of massive boycotts.
Like a tsunami, the wave of people who realized that they were not powerless against the powers-that-be, grew and grew. People who had been afraid to voice their opinions for fear of being cancelled, started realizing the emperor has no clothes. Being cancelled became a badge of honor. Faith in legacy media, already at all time polling lows, began to sink even further as their anti-American hyperbole and lies fell on deaf ears tired of being ridiculed, tired of being labeled as racist, homophobe Nazi fascists. That culminated in the Trump-Biden debate debacle, when no amount of media spin could disguise Biden’s obvious mental and physical frailty. In truth the MSM was the main reason the race was as close as it was. Perhaps the most astute perspective came from a DemonRat mega-doner who stated that the reason the election was as close as it was, wasn’t because people were voting for Harris, it’s that they were voting against the fascist, democracy destroying, authoritarian Hitleresque portrayal of Trump the MSM promulgated. If the MSM had not been the propaganda arm of the DemonRat party and actually did their job, both in reporting accurately on Trump and not hiding Harris’s voluminous flaws, the election would have been the largest landslide in U.S. history. Sadly, there are still people who suffer from Trump Derangement Syndrome, who still believe the lies they’ve been told. I continue to hold out hope for them, pray for them and I hold no ill will towards them. The MSM is another matter though. They deserve all the punishment, contempt and scorn that can be heaped upon their rotting carcass, their actions are nothing short of treason.
After the 2 incidents on New Years day and the Christmas market massacre in Germany, there has been a lot of speculation about the possibility that a wave of terrorist violence will take place this year. With all of the unvetted monsters the Biden Regime has allowed to cross our border (no, I’m not calling all of them monsters, just the rapists, murderers, terrorists and the other criminals that have strolled, unencumbered into America,) this seems like a very real possibility. The Trump administration is going to be beset with problems all across the board. The Biden regime has done an immense amount of damage to America and her institutions. Law enforcement can no longer be trusted. There are a lot of YouTube video’s detailing police malfeasance. Granted, the number of incidents pale in comparison to the number of cops on the job, and there are also a great many videos that show just how hard it is being a cop. However, when you see a multitude of clips that show at best a disturbing lack of knowledge about the constitution they’ve sworn to uphold, and at worst a belief that every person encountered is a criminal who deserves to not only have their rights ignored but brutally beaten as well. It makes me wonder if the “defund the police” movement eliminated a lot of good cops from service, leaving a bunch of bad ones, who either couldn’t find a decent job in the private sector, or just like the power a cop can have over the average citizen.
Our justice system is in dire need of a complete overhaul. The lawfare against Trump is the tip of the iceberg. The DOJ under Biden has been transformed into a Gestapo like secret police, arresting over 1500 Jan6th protestors while declining to prosecute rioters during the “Summer of Love” protests in 2020. The FBI made going after people of faith, anti-abortionists, and even concerned parents, a priority over dealing with terrorists, violent criminals released from Venezuelan prisons, or just real actual criminals. They have lied so frequently about everything, that the DOJ simply can’t be trusted about anything!
The economy which Biden claimed is doing great, stands at a precipice as the policies and outright lies of the Biden regime have come home to roost. Job numbers have been completely inflated and even with their supposed job growth, all of the new hiring went to foreign born workers, not to Americans! They touted inflation was down to less than 3%, but ignored the fact that that was on top of the already historic inflation they inflicted upon the economy. The national debt is exploding with some analysts saying in could reach an unsustainable 40 trillion dollars, in just the next few years.
As consequential and important as the events of 2024 were, this next year promises to even more significant. When Trump beat the Deep State in 2016, it took them by surprise, then they regrouped and installed Uncle Joe. Trump beat them this time, despite all the Deep State shenanigans. You have to believe that they are not going to take defeat easily. 2025 promises to be a continuation of their attempt to eliminate Trump, by whatever means necessary. At this point the consequences of defeat are intolerable for the Deep State. The ouster of Syrian strongman Assad has all the signs of CIA involvement, showing they are still a dangerous and formidable foe. Trump’s ignorance of the power wielded by the intel community cost him dearly the first time around. One proposal I heard about in the infamous “Project 2025” plan, was to have Trump gut the bureaucracy, fire anyone who is not on board and replace them with loyalists. The premise being that a President shouldn’t have to face a hostile, unelected 4th branch of government to implement his policies. This needs to happen, like yesterday, it has to be one of the first things Trump does. Looks like a job for the DOGE BOYS.
To me, it is beyond a doubt that Trump has been selected by God to lead this country. Like it or not, it really is undeniable. Hindsight is 20/20, but I simply do not believe in coincidence and if you look back at how events unfolded during 2024, there is no other conclusion you can reach. I hear a lot of conservative pundits say this is going to be a “Golden Age” because they see God’s hand in this as well as I do, but I urge caution. God has saved us from a Harris/Deep State Presidency, but that doesn’t mean we are free and clear of the forces that wish to not only take America down, but also to usher in their utopian One World Order. They will never surrender therefore, we must never stop being vigilant, standing firm in the certainty of our beliefs, wary of the lies of our enemies, those who are known and those who hide like snakes in the grass. Their ultimate goal is our enslavement. The time for complacency and compromise is over. There can be no compromise with the forces of evil. Freedom isn’t free, it requires effort and vigilance and above all faith, faith that he who began a good work, will be faithful to complete it. I’m not saying that this isn’t going to be a “Golden Age.” I pray fervently that this will be the 2nd “Great Awakening” where all the world’ s governments realize there is more to gain by peace than war, that all human life is sacred and individual freedom is the key to long-term prosperity. I realize that flies in the face of fact that humanity is imperfect, war and conflict have been around since Cain and Able, but God has given humanity an inch, it’s up to us to turn it into a mile!
