How many gratuitously live beyond their means? How many buy stuff they don't need because. . .uh. . .they're simply trying to impress? I made some damn good money in the past, but I still went for the flat with the cheapest rent, used cars, no designer anything, and no superfluous garbage that doesn't do anything for me. I cut my own hair, wear jeans and t-shirts, cheap tennis shoes, work boots, or my mandated non-slip restaurant shoes. I never bought cosmetics in my life, and what the Hell do I need a purse for? Wallet fits into back pocket, and half the time I have a pen hooked on my front shirt (for more than one reason).

When I made a lot, I ate at restaurants with my nosey-poo most days, tipped super high, but I only spent or gave away what I could afford. That was my vice, along with all the gourmet chocolate I used to buy from Trader Joe's. I swear, one of the worst things you could do for yourself is live on credit, which is basically flushing a lot of money down the toilet.

I'm now living comfy on poverty level wages on a part time job, with the help of my nosey-poo, who is retired and only getting a not too great social security check, but that's due to incredibly low overhead, and knowing where to shop. I suppose it also helps if all you want to do all day is surf the web, or read a book, which I pay $1.25 + tax for from Dollar Tree. And I have enough left over to ship a lot of those books to a couple of friends/acquaintances after I'm done with them, if I don't give them to neighbours, since I'm not gonna read them again, 4th class.

The world is currently going down the tubes. Or should I say the era is? I suppose there's a damn good possibility the situation will bite me in the arse before the transition of what is, is complete; but why should someone with a Cathar slant care? We don't live for this disgusting POS realm.
