I have to TRY to explain something. It is not going to be easy, even though the subject matter is one of the simplest and most obvious symbols of our material existence. I am talking about The Sun. If you have been coming here for any length of time, you know that we have discussed The Sun in detail, all while leaving out important details. This isn’t hard to accomplish because The Sun is a reservoir of ever-replicating mysteries that is brimming over with wonderful surprises for those who can tune to The Sun and not require words to define their experience.
Nonetheless, we will be using words here. Perhaps the greatest and most succinct commentary on The Sun that was ever written is The Emerald Tablet of Hermes Trismegistus. This says it all. Understanding what is being said is the hard part because without direct experience of The Kundalini... certain references don’t make sense because... there is no context in ordinary human experience.
When The Sun is accurately depicted you see two different rays shining from it. One of these rays feeds the material existence of all life, and the other ray feeds us spiritually. This is the basic point of this post... that there are two main streams of energy coming from The Sun at all times. One of them has to do with physical vitality… the life force. The other has to do with consciousness and regeneration. The reason The Sun follows The Moon in the Tarot deck is because the whole of the Major Arcana is about changes that take place within us, and the change that The Moon represents must precede the change that The Sun represents.
