I'm seriously hoping that if more nuclear power plants are used that they use a modern type of nuclear technology (like Thorium reactors) instead of the older technology that melted down & blew up at Fukushima. I'm not taking sides yet, but am hoping that the story about exposure to nuclear materials in really small amounts not being as dangerous as we have been told turns out to be accurate.
Static's coverage of Chernobyl does indicate a few things, nature is thriving there since people are not populating the area anymore, plus the Chernobyl N.P.P. kept operating (only one reactor blew up, & the other 3 kept going until more recent times, with people there to operate the plants!).
