I moved to Moscow — and apparently it’s a total nightmare.
At least, that’s what you’d think if you believed some of the videos and headlines out there.

In this satirical walking tour, I poke fun at the idea that Russia — and Moscow in particular — is an impossible place for foreigners to live. As I walk through central and southern Moscow, I talk honestly (and ironically) about common claims surrounding life in Russia, including taxes, cost of living, healthcare, safety, infrastructure, and everyday life as a foreigner.

We begin in Red Square, walk along Nikolskaya Street, and enter the Moscow Metro at Teatralnaya Station. From there, we travel through the metro system to Novokuznetskaya, walk through the area toward Tretyakovskaya, and continue our journey further south. Later in the video, we explore newer parts of the Moscow Metro, including the Big Circle Line, stopping at stations such as Prospekt Vernadskogo, Universitet, and Vorobyovy Gory.

This video is not a political statement — it’s an on-the-ground look at Moscow through everyday movement, real locations, and lived experience. The goal is to challenge stereotypes, highlight contradictions, and show what life in Moscow actually looks like when you step outside the narratives.
