It's unnerving to watch the pundits on the right like Alex Jones, Tucker Carlson, Jimmy Dore, Mike Adams, etc. absolutely turning on Donald Trump in the wake of the present military operations against Iran. The reason it is unnerving to watch is because these guys obviously don't know who Donald Trump really is and don't understand what drives him. The same is true of all of the politician heads of state like Xi, Starmer, Macron, Merz, etc. and certainly the political leaders in the USA on both sides of the aisle who despise Trump. The fact is that none of these pundits and politicians have ever seen a creature like Donald Trump in national leadership in the history of the modern world. The one exception is Vladimir Putin...Putin alone thoroughly understands Trump as Trump thoroughly understands Putin, but that's for another time.

So what IS Donald Trump? What he IS is a highly successful real estate developer who has developed extremely large hotel, office, and multi-family residential projects all over the USA and in some foreign locations. He is the son of an extremely successful multi-family residential real estate developer from Queens, NYC. Donald Trump has also bought and redeveloped very large golf club anchored residential developments and major casino properties. He is one of the most prominent and successful real estate developers in the world.

Most people have never met or dealt with a world class real estate developer. I have had experience with a few of them in my career and they are a very different breed of cat. One of the things that most people don't realize is that just about every building that they live in, work in, play in, exist in...was built by a real estate developer. When you look at major cities like New York or Chicago or Los Angeles with all of their skyscrapers and subsidiary buildings...virtually all were conceived of and built by real estate developers.

Building a skyscraper in a major city is one of the most complicated and difficult things that any human being can do. Besides the site selection and acquisition, site engineering, architectural design, structural engineering, contracting, and managing the construction of an an extremely large and complex structure with all of its mechanical systems, the developer has to navigate an extraordinary maze of permitting, codes, regulations, community relations, and of course financing that can easily top taking on personally guaranteed debt of a billion dollars on one project alone. Ultimately, real estate developers are visionaries who sense a commercial opportunity in creating a new or re-imagined real property and then routinely "bet the farm" to bring that vision to life. As they say, don't try this at home.

Top real estate developers like Trump are literally the supermen of the entrepreneurial world and most of them at one or more times in their careers have gone completely bust as did Trump with his casino properties in Atlantic City. Somehow, Trump managed to rise like a phoenix from the ashes of his Atlantic crash and burn to build one of the great real estate empires on planet earth today. The way that he built his real estate empire is the way that he is governing as president of the United States today...and the way that he is dealing with Venezuela, Iran, Cuba, China, Russia, the European "allies," Israel, and the Democrats who have turned against America in order to destroy Trump.

There is an old saying that "war is the real estate business with guns." That saying sums up Donald Trump the real estate developer who has become president of the United States. Unlike in politics or traditional "statecraft," real estate deals with real things like land and buildings...things that you can see, touch, and use for specific purposes. There is very little BS in real estate just as there is an overabundance of it in politics. The vast majority of politicians are simple glad handers who routinely say whatever they feel will get them elected to power positions...and power and status is generally all that they want. Unfortunately, with a few exceptions, politicians are so narcissistic, power hungry, lacking in the ability to relate to "real things" or the simple concept of right and wrong (good vs. evil), that their conduct could often be rightfully considered psychopathic. Monsters like Stalin, Hitler, and Mao represent the actual quintessential politician.

Donald Trump views the United States like one vast real estate development project in a global community...and he does view the real estate business in this context as being conducted with guns. Unlike traditional national leaders who are generally acting on the basis of broad concepts and amorphous ideologies, Trump is totally transactional. The question with Trump is whether whatever is done for or to the USA is good for the USA or bad for the USA. That's it, it's that simple. Does the building get financed and built and then succeed commercially as an office building, a hotel, or a condominium? That's all a real estate developer cares about. It's all real, not some concept.

So when Alex or Tucker or Mike or Jimmy or whoever in the pundit class on the right say that they have turned against Donald Trump because he carried out a massive military operation against Iran, a country that since 1979 has cried "death to America" and has been undermining the USA's interests kinetically and otherwise across the globe, they are ignoring Donald Trump's perspective on the matter. Trump sees Iran as an existential threat to his latest and greatest project which you might call "Making America Great Again." In fact, Trump would probably call it "Keeping America From Being Destroyed While Making America Great Again."

The really ridiculous part of this is that the pundits are saying in lock step that Trump is being led around by Israel and that he is putting Israel's interests first ahead of America in this concerted military action against Iran. They call the United States, "USrael." Let's be clear for once, Israel is a client state and a proxy of the USA in the Middle East, not the other way around. Israel is NOT leading this charge and those who claim so are only revealing their ignorance of the situation and their base line hatred of Israel and those apparently evil people who support Israel called Zionists (both Jewish and Christian).

So get used to it America, you elected a really successful real estate developer as your president. Successful real estate developers are extreme visionaries, enormous risk takers, invariably personally responsible for their actions, and ultimate realists. If you don't understand this, you don't understand the Trump presidency.
