I'm no friend of the Roman Empire (different from the Roman Republic)nor Nesara but Plato's vision of a 'Republic' was 'skewed' by his communist leanings.. Nor was his 'republic' how Rome worked. .. My personal leanings are more towards Libertarian (but not the nit wit they have running for prez...

In Platos writings he set out a virtual blueprint for the Welfare State....

Plato thought that there is a higher being in everyone and state funded education should contribute towards progressing along the continuum to that higher self. This, I agree with... (the idea that we should be taught to seek out our souls rather then hide them away ..

To secure a virile race and to keep the population within predetermined limits, Plato wanted the segregation of the sexes, state-arranged cohabitation, communal wives (Mormonism??) and the state ownership of children. From birth onward children would be reared in public nurseries where mothers would have to feed whatever child the state officials directed, to assure that no mother would be able to identify her own child, and no child would know its own parents.... Sounds wonderful.. NOT!

Socialist / communist ideas certainly play an important part in his writings.. in which men and women of the “guardian” class share with each other not only their few material goods but also their spouses and children..... Sounds more like an episode of sisters wives.. :-))

Each family is to have only one heir, to avoid subdivision of the agrarian lots into small parcels. In cases where there is more than one child, the head of the family should marry off the females and the males he must present for adoption to those citizens who have no children of their own...

PS... The Roman Republic elected a new ruler every year.. At first it was from the Patricians but after protests it was from all citizens...
