Police Arrest Elderly Farmer Who Makes Natural Salves. The Charges? INSANE!
Amish farmer Samuel Girod is accused of conspiracy, distributing misbranded drugs, threatening a witness and several other serious charges after he came under investigation for selling homemade salves made from herbs.

According to Health Nut News, a federal judge originally banned Girod from distributing his products until he met certain conditions, including that he allow the FDA to inspect his farm.

The FDA went on to claim that Girod prevented agents from inspecting his farm, all the while allegedly continuing to sell his salves and hand out pamphlets outlining conditions they treat.

Those actions reportedly led the government to classify Girod’s products as drugs, even though – as Health Nut News puts it – “multiple tests confirm the products do not contain drugs.”

That’s presumably where the “distributing misbranded drugs” charge comes in.
None of this sits well with Girod’s community, which has launched multi-step action to free the farmer, who is reportedly currently in jail without bond awaiting trial later this month.

Many appear baffled concerning Girod’s detainment, insisting he is a good man whose actions in mislabeling his products likely came from him not knowing any better.

The community’s action to free Sam Girod is as follows.
