Cath, what you've said is so true!!

I can't even watch TV anymore.. It's all about the latest bread and Circus show designed to get the average male to think more about someones backside then what the country is doing to them.. It's filled with 'wardrobe malfunctions and the latest 'scandal' .. Who gives a flying fig???

A GF recently gave me a romance novel to read. She claimed it was well written and not your average romp... I kept reading it .. actually forcing myself hoping the good part would come up.. It had rave reviews, too .. The entire thing was about being captured and having the hots for your master... The 'lady' spent all of ten mins being upset about the capture and the rest about describing his luscious hot bod and his 10" you know what.. (Truthfully guys, we don't want one of those and that is certainly NOT romance!! :-)..

After it had been read it was easy to see how females are slowly being entrained to think enslavement is 'sexy.' ... It was written for someone with the emotional mentality of a 14 year old..!!!

Outlander, by Diana Gabaldon, is a wonderful series of books written for adults.. Men and women.. Why can't there be more like that?? Still a wee bit Romancy but awesomely filled with characters and details.. It was written for adults!! They've Hollywoodized the Series (on Starz) but it still retains a lot of Gabaldons book...
