Very Cool.. I read, somewhere, that crystals can hold a buttload of information as stored data and last billion of years. Maybe it's not a 'book' (as you said) but more like encrypted data storage.. ... So maybe one Crystal could last lifetimes and record it all.. Then release it into you as it' needed..
