No Worries.. Most Youtube vids are too large for our website. Don't worry about that just yet, I can resize them when I move them upfront.

Resizing is a simple thing, really. In the code that you embed, just change the number to something in the 400 range.

For example ... The code looks something like this (I added spaces so it won't embed.

frame width="1175" heig ht="661" src="htt ps://www.yout ube.co m/em bed/iO7ySn-S wwc" frame border="0" allow="accele rometer; autoplay; encr ypted-media; allo wfullscreen>/iframe>

See the "1175" and the "661" in the first line?? Erase (backspace) the 11 and replace it with a 4 so the number will be "475" Don't get rid of the ".. Do the same with the "661" Erase the 6 and replace it with a 4.. Anything within the 400 range is doable on RMN... People can always click on the link to make it full screen if they want to.

We've had some new people sign up, recently, and I thought I'd go over how to embed youtube videos and how to reply to a post already on the board.

First you MUST be logged in!! If you have forgotten your Password then please write to me and we can change it or I can give you the one you signed up with.

Embed videos:

Two easy ways.

1st hover your cursor over the video that you want to embed. Right click and click on 'copy embed code' or copy code...

Go to your forum post (Best to open an additional page/window for this) Place your cursor in the white area and right click to 'paste' the code in the white box.

Sample (I've broken the code with added spaces so it shows up here without embedding ... I also removed the < and the /> at the beginning and the end of the code.

That's it, just paste the code, type in what you want to type and hit 'post' at the bottom of the page.

To Reply to a Post:

Click on the post you want to reply to. At the top of the page you'll see a line of things like this below:

[ DONATE TO RMN ] [ Post Response ] [ Return to Main Page ] [ Read Prev Article ]

Click on post response. When you get to the new page click your cursor in the white box and type away.. Hit post and it will show up. If you want to change the subject line, just highlight and hit 'back' on your keyboard the subject line should erase. Type in what you want to say and hit post.

If your video is too large, don't worry about it, I'll resize it. If you want to know how to do that, I can show you. It's easy.. (See above this post) ...
