Two of my brothers and sisters have black hair and blue eyes. They also have darker skin than the rest of the siblings do. Not Indian dark but somewhere in the middle. The rest of us are various shades of blond with blue eyes. My father had black curly hair and blue eyes. It wasn't 'cool' to have Indian blood back in the 40's and 50's, so he pretended to be on the white side. We would visit them once a year in another state but no one ever told us too much about heritage. Grandpa passed over when I was just a preteen I really didn't know him all that well. My grandmother from Wales lived to be 90, and we knew each other well.

Since growing to adulthood, I've connected with some of our relatives... I don't hate white people and I don't hate Indians. They were screwed over by the government on many occasions. So were white people. We're being screwed (and replaced) today. If the Indians had banded together with other tribes (instead of warring) they would have kicked the English and Frenches butts and sent them packing.
