I've been known to do that on occasion myself.

This is a nice friendly debate that our member Mike began. When I put forth my responses it was under the 'imho' banner so people would know that it was my opinion, nothing more.

D, some years ago when you were here, you came across as a serious Christian and you made no bones about it. That is why I was surprised to hear you endorsed the Urantia papers. It was not an attack on your beliefs or the papers. It was surprise.

Do I think historians tell the truth? Of course not! That goes along with my response of 'History is written by the victors,' or who is funding the latest archeological dig. I have Michael Cremo's ancient Archeology book that shows things embedded in rock from MILLIONS of years ago. These are well documented and researched.

The reality is that we (here in CGI) don't really 'know' one another that well. We don't know what we've researched or for how long. We don't know how many books have been read or documentaries watched. How much schooling we've all had. We don't know if any of us are Christians, Jews, Hindi, Buddhist, Islamic or Gnostic. While none of that matters to converse or discuss as rational adults, it's something to keep in mind as we judge and compartmentalize others.

Every man/woman has their own journeys to make. IMHO, none is more righteous or truthful than the others. It is what it is, a journey to teach our souls truths... My truths won't be yours, or Sonars, or Morgans, or Cathy's, or Griffons, or Mikes.

I'm a Libra.. A couple things we're good at is looking at a subject from all sides before making a decision and being a mirror/reflection for other people...
