Concerning writers and speakers:

The adage, "A picture is worth a thousand words" seems to be less than well understood.

Communication takes place at two levels, one being the mind, which is spiritual and the other being the brain, which is organic or creature level.

Physical forms of communication are organic, between creatures, and are both inferior and subject to spiritual communication when applied in proper context.

The mind thinks in pictures. The brain thinks in words. Any confusion between these two modes of operation is simply that. Confusion. If you watch yourself through an unobtrusive viewpoint, for instance from the corner of your eye, you can see the difference.

Individuals who know each other well can communicate more in a glance than can be printed in a small newspaper. This is high level comm. Full and detailed thought pictures are exchanged mind to mind, directly, outside of constraints of time. At an even higher level this is not bound by location. Comm can take place effectively from opposite sides of the planet and farther. At the highest level past (death) and future (not yet extant) offer no bar.

Written and spoken words, in proper context, are low level organic bridges used to facilitate higher forms of communication when higher forms alone are not practicable. This is the prevailing condition of humanity at this time. Maybe that will change. Maybe it won't.

All... communication is directed and intended to have effect.

Any form of communication must have the imagery in mind firmly and purposefully attached when conveyed if it is to be more than organic machine language suitable only to management of humanity at button and lever level. Discretion is advisable to ensure that hypnotists and persuasion experts do not present image triggers that might capture one's attention without express permission to do so.

: a populace at large becomes unable to comprehend a national
: constitution, or even simpler things such as Slower traffic
: keep right. Is there any wisdom in courting degradation or
: might wisdom be in holding to at least some minimal
: standard and letting the willingly weak links fall where
: they may?

: To be fair there is a time for basic communication, but at
: some point it is nice if your children can demonstrate more
: than elementary ability.
