According to this ?logic? every country on the face of this planet would have to be fenced or walled apart from every other country on the face of the planet, -because- illegal immigration -is- a world wide problem.

Have you considered that?

Have you considered the phenomenal monetary expenditures and resources, especially for countries that do not have the wherewithal?

Have you considered the added cost to legitimate travel and trade?

Have you considered that there are thousands upon thousands of miles of terrain and shoreline that simply cannot be walled, fantasy not withstanding?

Have you considered the ungodly amount of government bureaucracy and the inherent temptation for abusive government control?

Have you considered that a people too lazy or preoccupied to police itself is is actively seeking its own destruction?

You ask, "WHY CAN'T AMERIKA?", but you have not considered that if you go to Mexico, Central or South America without proper procedure and try to live you will be jailed or deported. So yes, "WHY CAN'T AMERIKA?" protect itself in that same way?

This could go on for a while but I will stop here with one final point.

Why??? would you rely on or trust a government that could easily stop illegal immigration with existing laws to exercise the insanity of a wall?
