Is it me, or has this been a busier than usual day for the news and/or RMN?

For various reasons, I'd love to go back to my high school years as a mature adult and live that time over again, but I've accepted that there's no point in crying over spilt milk aka "Acceptance is the only power - once reality has been accepted, then there are possible choices from there. At the same time, from where I'm sitting now, I don't think I did so badly with them. Somehow I managed to avoid more traps than I'd realized anyways!

That 118 year-old vampire is only in it for the vampiric youth-sucking sex, so he wouldn't care about the details, and he'd be a master of the wooing drill by his age. Yes, it reeks of pedophilia, but it was introducing it to the female audience ... the kids being more open to older men, and their moms thinking about much younger men "cougar" style. This showed up in my sister's behaviour, but I have no idea how far she had the opportunity to go with it - apart from the fact that the parents of the school her daughter was attending requested that she no longer work on the annual school theatrical production. I knew that she'd been making a point of offering lifts to as many of her children's friends, particularly males, for quite a while. Her nickname when she posted in the Twilight Moms forum was, Icy Cold (her name). And anyone who was thoughtful or kind (like her son, and no doubt myself ... ) was "too soft."

Around the same time, that same sister pushed me to go see Pirate Radio with her (HA!) - she just wanted to watch my reaction to the interage and maybe family sex liberally spread throughout. Another part of that package was American Apparel - Dov whatever, the founder of American Apparel was very into young models who did not look too happy in the fashion pics. He was a graduate of the same private high school that my niece and nephew graduated from.

Great point with this not standing up in court (but they're working on it!), "“You know we have no control over it. We can’t choose who it happens with, and it doesn’t mean what you think…” I have to wonder if this isn't a Satanic/predator manipulation line - not to repress any natural urges.

My niece didn't fall for the Twilight hype, despite her mother's enthusiasm, but was "taken" later on, during her travel "programming" I think.

My apologies if I've gone on, but I've never been able to talk about this with anyone.
