I'm close to that age as well.. However, my significant other is 63.. No problemo
I eat thinly sliced cucumbers on sammy's all the time :-) Tomato sandwiches are the bomb.. Yours do sound very delicious!! If you were closer I'd have you make us up some for Friday night date night.. I like this mayo made from avocado oil. It's fantastic. A bit pricey but it's not made from soy oil ..
Have you ever tried cream cheese with red onions, carrots, bell peppers, dried cranberries, salt, pepper and a lil garlic?? I put it all in a blender and make it as a dip of sorts or a spread for 'good' crackers.. Blended-pulsed just enough to make small chips of everything in the cheese. It tastes so much better after it sits a few hours in the fridge but it's good out of the blender jar as well..
I'm 57. Hard to tell, huh? 57 a'goin' on 12. My nosey-poo is
: 63, but where we shop doesn't have that. We do get a ten
: percent discount on Tuesday, though. They ought to have
: limits. I'll suggest it when I go, 'cause even it they
: don't have what I'm goin' for, I want me some fresh
: produce.
: Weird, but considering how much I hate cooking; I'm one of the
: best cooks I know. The guys love me next door, and when an
: Arab chick asks you for a recipe, you KNOW you're good. My
: sammiches are better than the delis, too. I do stuff they
: don't, and I use Trader Joe's organic mayo and their garlic
: mustard sauce, so. . . I mean, who put's cucumbers on their
: sandwiches? Roma tomatoes, sweet onions, avocados, Trader
: Joe's dill pickles from Germany, the best cheeses, hummus,
: and yes; they qualify as Dagwoods. Hell o' messy, though. I
: put 'em on dill rye, or one of the Oroweat 20 odd seed
: breads, and you get my drift. The most hedonistic
: sandwiches on the planet.
