In the meantime while still inhabiting this body I will continue to do what I can do.

No point to adding to the 'blame.' I can only take responsibility for avoiding adding to that.

FYI, a personal action I do and have no compunctions about allowing, if not encouraging, anyone else who inclined to do it or something similar in their own way, own time, own place is the following simple thing.

Decide when and where to read (or see that it is read) the Declaration of Independence in one's own community setting of their choice.

To an audience of those you invite directly, or those who may respond to a 3 x 5 card invitation and announcement posted on telephone poles or supermarket bulletin boards.

Appear at that place at the time you set, start with "Hello!" and whatever words of welcome you want for whoever is there. Its not the number of people in the audience that counts, but simply that each has made a very personal decision to be there at the time you said.

Read it. Like they did in 1776. The whole thing, until the very last phrase, "... we mutually pledge our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor."

It only takes about 13 or 14 minutes.

Whether your audience is only one other person, or a dozen, or more you will have helped them all to take their own next step.

To see that it is done again, that way, next Independence Day wherever they are!

Each of us, as Americans, owe it to ourselves and our children to reclaim our roots, not to let them atrophy in someone else's bank account.

And that is indeed within each of our abilities to do. For ourselves.
