I got a cattle call in October
that they only had 4 in the
ladies Choir
The Crystal Belles
Well, I started to laugh
and Betty asked "Why are you laughing?"
I told her I had not sang in a choir
since I was a teenager and

about 20 years ago my kids told me
not to quit my day job and
take up singing as a career

I've had a blast singing this Christmas
at Nursing Homes and Carol nights
at hall functions
I've been busy singing and not had as
much time as I would like for writing
I only have one more singing engagement

in these times of go here, do this do that, go there
you do have to give up one thing to do another thing

I loved seeing the joy and smiles on all our elderly
people's faces, spending time talking to them
and it didn't really cost me any money
just my time

Is time really all about money?
We lack the time for family and human bonding
It is no wonder why so many children are acting
up --- so many being diagnosed with ADDS
attention deficit disorder syndrome
not enough time spent on what is really important
