Silly and ridiculous shows can have a place within normal life as a sort of escape valve from the rigors of life. If I'm really tired and don't want to expend too much brain power, I'll opt for an older black and white show to watch instead of the constant flashing and scene changes of today's shows. Shhhh.. .. I hear tell the constant scene changes are a form of hypnosis but don't tell anyone :-)

I've not watched 'Arrested Development nor men behaving badly (that's a Brit show, yes?) .. I have watched a few sex in the city episodes. I wanted to see what the hoopla was about and couldn't find it.. :-) The few I watched were when Carrie cheated on Aidan (whom she was engaged to) to be with 'Big'... I mean c'mon.. Aidan is/was a clear choice. He loved her deeply and was honest, loyal, handsome and a carpenter to boot.. Big was selfish, aloof and a bit of an ass.. He was also very, very rich :-) It seems like every girl on that show wanted money, power and sex.. nothing more..

I did (and still do) like the British TV Show Doc Martin that was set in the fictional town of Port Wenn (Cornwall) ...
