Disruptive sound technology seems to have been practiced through the ages. An array of horns on a battlement might well have been an acoustic weapon of sorts with home solders trained or equipped to withstand effect.
Ultimately, though, all sound must be translated into electrical impulses in the nervous system to be perceived. Electromagnetic energy can bypass translation and be instated directly into the circuitry.
There is quite a lot of evidence now that indicates that the mind exists and persists apart from and around the body. The brain appears to be an interface between the organic and the ethereal, spirit, field or whatever one wishes to call mind.
While it is apparently possible to induce calculated behavior of the body (organic, animal character) through induction, it doesn't seem that permanent thought or programing can be installed in the brain. We live in a seething cauldron of electromagnetic activity and yet many people seem to be in full possession of themselves in both body and mind.
The real danger and subtle danger would be conditioning by physical/emotional pain/pleasure stimulus. A hostage can be conditioned to love the captor even enough to sacrifice self for the captor.
Even more insidious is the possibility that remotely activated or self sustaining "circuits of thought" could be installed below the level of perception of the targeted individual or group. These circuits could be installed in parts like software on a device and be self assembling when the last part is downloaded. A piece here, a piece there each time one uses the phone or is close enough to a transmitter. Greenbaum by AI without investment in man hours.
One final aspect of 5G that stands out is psychic susceptibility and contagion if the program or data is coded to "project" to others at sub-aware levels.
