I have sent an email to Rayelan to make sure this is the official policy and she supports it fully.

Why would I do that? Well, because last year when I wanted to sign up as a CGI forum member I had to wait about 10 days before I was approved finally, by Rayelan. Why did she have to get involved? Because after submitting my application no response came, so I contacted the admin. There was no response from the admin, so I contacted Hobie. Again no response from him, so I have contacted Rayelan to make sure this is how a sign up supposed to happen, or rather not happen. Finally she got it though, and as the result of my tenacious pursuing of the matter got the opportunity to share some articles with the readers. I suppose there are some other readers as well, who attempted to sign up for CGI membership (via Tor) and got no response; then they didn’t press the matter and got locked out by silence.

I was pondering for a while why would the moderators be motivated to deny membership to anyone whom they never contacted before. Then I have realized the obvious reason. I have signed up via the Tor browser, which by default hides my real IP address, and therefore they can not locate me. My email address is also accessed exclusively via Tor, so that would not help identifying me either. This way I can not be intimidated or threatened for standing up for the truth and justice…

OK, I will wait for Rayelan’s response for a while, and then return to the subject later.
