Well, there are some holes… apparently… in my JavaScript, Python, and C+, so Krokof has not crocked up to be what I had hoped. I’m going to have to go back to the deep memory pools on the interior. Modern tech is not my thing. I’m more of an ancient tech kind of a guy. Stick me in a room with mythic figures and symbolic chimeras, and I’m right at home. I’ve met the occasional fire-breathing lioness, but that was usually late night down at The Local, as a Brit might put it.
I like living with the utter certainty that what I can’t see is actually there, and… no maybe about it. My world is richer than the ordinary fare. Seeing is not believing in my areas of inquiry. It’s more like being is believing. Modern Life is entertaining for about a minute. After that, it’s like eating paint chips on the couch and watching golf.
For a long time, the more reasonable aspects of my deeper instincts have been telling me I don’t belong here. However… I am here. It’s like watching a conundrum look at itself in the mirror. When I was very young, maybe between 5 and 8, I would get the recurrent sensation that I hadn’t been here on Planet Earth for a very long time. Nothing made any sense to me, and… unfortunately… it hasn’t changed much between then and now. I am not in the same time zone as most of the rest of The World.
