That's awesome that your best friend came to visit you and spend some time making you laugh... I get the feeling that she loved you very much and wants you to laugh more often.. !!
I both love it and hate it when those who have passed over come back to visit. I hate it, obviously, because they are gone from my touching them or hugging them.. Love it because it's a bit of validation that they still are here..
When my Brother Barry died, he was just 25.. He was swimming across the Meremac River with friends when he went under. While he was a strong swimmer, he was no match for the undertows that are common in this river.. For many months after he would come and visit me by 'turning on my microwave,' or 'turning my TV' on and off while no one was in there.. Turning the volume up when the kids were in bed.. At first it kind of freaked me out but later it made me smile. I had the electricity checked and the mother board replaced on my microwave.. It still happened.. Phone calls came in with no one on the line.. just static..
Then there are the dreams.. I get dream visits from Barry and my more recently passed Dad, often. Sometimes my grandmother. .. Barry once came to me and told me where an old necklace of my mothers was, in the attic, tucked between some rafters and under some insulation right by the staircase .. My mom smirked when I told her, went home and fond the damn necklace exactly where he said it was in the dream.. :-)
Sometimes I smell them.. I smell my grandmothers house in North Carolina that we used to spend summers at.. I smell my Dad's Cherry/whiskey cigarettes that he smoked occasionally (no one around here smokes).. Rarely, I feel them as the softest touch upon my hair or a cool breeze when no windows or doors are open.. (and the AC/heat is not blowing..) Other things too but these are the most obvious ..
Glad you enjoyed your visit from your friend.. :-)
